President's Report 2023 

Annual Meeting Friends of the Library of West Union

What an experience we have all had since our last annual Meeting was held in April of 2019.  We suspended activities well into 2021 and really never got up and running until fall of 2021 with activities and movies beginning.

Friends continued to pay bills as needed and continued to pay for new book orders for the Library.  We thank the many donors who continued to provide funds for the Friends.  A major project was the Eden Community room funded by a Memorial gift in honor of Iris Woodard.  This room has become another meeting room to be used by numerous groups and programs for the community members.  This past summer the old shrubs on the north side of the building were removed and a variety of Hostas are going into the shade garden.

Look for more programs as Friends have teamed up with SHIIP Volunteer Al Allbee, as well as Fayette County Master Gardeners.  We welcome your suggestions for Program ideas and speakers.
